From surface checks to precision agriculture Surface checks made in the course of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) revealed errors or uncertainties in the official boundary information to a large number of farmers which led them to measure their lots themselves. Others made such measurements because they have turned to precision agriculture. . Training courses for supervisory bodies and farmers The two agencies ONIGC and CNASEA, which are in charge of CAP checks and thus of surface checks in the field, had to take special steps to carry out these measurements professionally and in accordance with European regulations. ONIGC = Office national interprofessionnel des grandes cultures / National interprofessional agency for large area farms CNASEA = Centre national pour l'aménagement des structures des exploitations agricoles / National center for the structural development of farms Since they knew that TopoSat had taken part in the first studies conducted on that topic by the European Commission (see topic "business applications"), these agencies have called on our services for several years now to organize the training of their inspectors with courses comprising - Accuracy analysis of cadastral maps - GPS measurements and their uncertainties - Alternative measurements using thin measuring wires - An introduction to measurements made on aerial photographs or satellite images. TopoSat offers identical training courses to agricultural agencies and groups of farmers. Legal frame TopoSat is a registered training organization at the regional control agency for vocational training (Service Régional de Contrôle de la Formation Professionnelle) of Ile de France under the reference number 11753298275 assigned on January 26, 2000 (see opposite). Because our training courses are aimed primarily at companies and businesses, they are within the legal frames governing continuing vocational training.
