From service to training Ranking among the very first to use GPS techniques in France and being one of the few surveying companies to rest its major activity on using GPS, TopoSat has been asked very early on to provide training courses in this particular field. Programs adapted to needs Being used to training people with various backgrounds and from various fields of business, our courses are adapted to their specific needs. The different programs and the duration of these courses depend on the expectations and the level of knowledge of the participants. Apart from specific courses organized upon request, the following content is usually offered: - Introduction to the use of GPS receivers designed for the general public, including the analysis of the obtained accuracies as well as a basic course in geodesy and cartography. - Operating Trimble® equipment (GPS mapping and surveying product lines). - Introducing contractors to the whole range of techniques for obtaining meter and centimeter accuracies. - The combined use of satellite imagery and GPS positioning. A short leaflet is available on this topic. Legal frame TopoSat is a registered training organization at the regional control agency for vocational training (Service Régional de Contrôle de la Formation Professionnelle) of Ile de France under the reference number 11753298275 assigned on January 26, 2000 (see opposite). Because our training courses are aimed primarily at companies and businesses, they are within the legal frames governing continuing vocational training.
